Buddhism is Nepal is greatly influenced by Tibetan Buddhism. Majority of people in Himalayan region practice Tibetan Buddhism. There are a number of famous sites, across the country that reflect Buddhist religion and cultural practices. In this Buddhist Cultural Tour you will be visiting some of the prominent ones.
The tour will begin by visiting the important sites around Kathmandu, Bouddhanath and Swayambhunath stupa. Bouddhanath stupa lies in an eastern part of Kathmandu at Bouddha, named after the stupa. It is considered as the largest stupa in Nepal. The design is in Buddhist style and regular maintenance has kept the stupa in good shape. It is a great place to spend some hours in a serene state with the soothing Buddhist mantra being played continuously. Swoyambhunath stupa is also called the Monkey temple as there is a huge monkey population. The stupa is situated at the top of a hill and you will have to climb through 365 steps before reaching the stupa. The stupa is surrounded by a number of temples and small stupas. The main stupa is coloured white and a pair of eyes is painted on all four sides. You can spend some time visiting the surrounding area as well. We will then drive to Pokhara and visit the major sites and famous world peace pagoda. Then we will visit Lumbini. There are various monasteries around the area. We can see the ancient Ashoka Pillar and Maya Devi temple. Lumbini is famous due to its religious as well as historical significance. We will be visiting the museum and a peace pagoda there. We will then drive back to Kathmandu and the tour concludes thus.

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport we offer you pick up facility from the airport and manage your stay at the most comfortable hotel in the city. You get to meet the team of travelers and together we prepare for the tour. In the evening we offer you lavish welcome dinner with authentic Nepali Cuisine.

After this we will get prepared for the drive to Pokhara and head there.
Today we will spend our time exploring the famous tourist destinations around the city. First we will visit the Davis falls, the waterfall that flows into a narrow canal. Then we will visit the Shiva cave near the Davis falls. Then we will enjoy boating in Phewa Lake and visit Bindhabasisni temple that lies in the center of the lake. We will also be visiting the world peace pagoda and Tibetan Refugee Camp at Pokhara. We will thus conclude the day making the best out of our time in Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara.
Today we will be visiting the birth place of Lord Buddha, Lumbini which is also the UNESCO world heritage site. We will get on the drive early and head towards our destination. We will be leaving the hills and experience the weather of the flat plains. After the long drive, we will finally reach Lumbini. We will spend the night at the hotel there.

We will leave Lumbini today and head towards Kathmandu. Our cultural tour ends here. The drive from Lumbini to Kathmandu will take around 6-7 hours. The journey is made pleasurable by the greenery of hills, forests and fields as seen from the bus. After the long drive, we will finally reach Kathmandu. Once in Kathmandu you will be escorted to the hotel and you will get time for the good rest. Over night at the hotel.
Today is the final day and we get ready for the departure. We offer you the facility to drop at the Tribhuvan International Airport. We exchange final greetings and wishes and hope to see each other next time as well. We wish pleasant journey and bid the final goodbye.
