The lake Manasarovar, situated at the altitude of 4,590m above the sea level, is a freshwater lake situated at the highest point in the world. The lake is formed by glacial melt from Mount Kailash. The lake is situated near Mount Kailash. Like Mount Kailash, the lake is also considered holy and people take a dip in the lake with a belief that it will clear all the sins. The lake is also believed to change colours and offers an exotic view on the full moon night.
