Bhutan is a South Asian country that lies between India and China. Bhutan is rich in natural beauty with beautiful landscapes and mountainous peaks. The country is also rich in diverse flora and fauna. In our tour to Bhutan, we will mostly be visiting towns and monasteries. We will also spend time in sightseeing and enjoy the beauty of nature. Amazing view of mountains along with unique culture, tradition and lifestyle of Bhutanese will give you an amazing experience.

As Bhutan follows Tibetan Buddhist region, there are quite a number of monasteries, gompas and chortens. We visit few of them. In addition, there are also famous historical forts. We will explore around and get some information on them. During the tour, we also get to view the mountain peaks like Mount Chomolhari, Jichu Drake and many others that make our trip more enjoyable. We will then explore around the capital of Bhutan- Thimpu and visit the zoo there.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, we offer you pick up facility from the airport and manage your stay at the most comfortable hotel in the city. You get to meet our team and together we prepare for the tour. At the evening we offer you lavish welcome dinner with authentic Nepali Cuisine.

Day 2: Kathmandu valley sightseeing and tour preparation

We offer you a short trip to historical and cultural sites around Kathmandu valley: Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath Stupa and Pashupatinath temple. You can also do some souvenir shopping during the sightseeing. After sightseeing, we head back to the hotel and get our clothing ready and bags packed and prepare for the tour.

Day 3: Fly to Paro

Today we will fly from Kathmandu to Paro, Bhutan. We can enjoy the exotic views from the flight. We will head towards hotel from the airport. After lunch, we will be visiting few historical forts in Paro. We will also be visiting some temples along the way. If the weather is favourable we can get a chance to view Mount Chomolhari. We then head back to the hotel for our night’s stay.

Day 4: Paro to Thimpu

We leave Paro early in the morning and start with a hike towards Taktsang monastery. There will be steep uphill climbing before reaching the monastery. This is one of the famous monasteries in Bhutan with historical significance. People believe that Guru Rinpoche had once meditated at this same place where there was a cave once. After that, we will hike down and head towards Thimpu. The night will be spent at Thimpu.

Day 5: Hike to Wangditse Gompa and sightseeing around Thimpu

We start the day with a hike to Wangditse Gompa. From there we also get to view the famous Samtenling palace of the fourth king of Bhutan. After that, we visit the zoo in Thimpu. We will spend rest of the day exploring the city of Thimpu and the Bhutanese culture and local lifestyle. We will visit temples, chortens, National library and museums. Night at Thimpu.

Day 6: Thimpu to Punakha

We start the day with a drive to Dochula Pass. We enjoy the spectacular view of the Himalayas from there. From Dochula Pass we then hike towards the Lungchutse monastery. The walk is accompanied by rhododendron forest and view of mountains. We then head back to Punakha. We will walk around some villages on our way. Night at Punakha.

Day 7: Punakha to Paro

We start with a drive towards the north of Punakha. On the way, we stop and hie towards a beautiful hill that will take us to a chorten. We hike for some more time and enjoy the view and surrounding. We then head back to Punakha. On the way, we visit Punakha Dzong, a famous historical site. After the tour, we drive back to Paro and spend the night there.

Day 8: Fly back to Kathmandu

Today is our last day at Bhutan. We take a flight to Kathmandu enjoying the view of Himalayas on our way. After arrival at Kathmandu, we then head towards the hotel. In the evening we might stroll around the city and do some shopping. We offer you farewell dinner and celebrate the completion of the tour and prepare for final departure.

Day 9: Final Departure

Today is the final day and we get ready for the departure. We offer you the facility to drop at the Tribhuvan International Airport. We exchange final greetings and wishes and hope to see each other next time as well. We wish pleasant journey and bid the final goodbye.
